Moog fulfills their warranty through their individual dealers. That means that in order to receive warranty support, you will have to refer back to the original dealer you purchased the part from. Be sure to check the dealer's warranty support before you buy the part to make sure that they will properly support the warranty. If a dealer will only refer you back to the manufacturer in order to receive warranty support, then you may not actually have any warranty at all.

Moog Premium Steering Components carry a Limited Lifetime Warranty. Moog R-Series Control Arms, Hub Assemblies, and Strut Assemblies carry a 3 Year Warranty.
Moog warranties their parts to be free of defects in materials and/or workmanship during these timeframes as measured from the date of purchase.
If a Moog part should fail due to materials or manufacturing defect while under warranty, we will provide a replacement of the part upon return of the defective part.
Wearable RUBBER parts are not covered under warranty (Dust boots, bushings, bump stops, etc.)

Ball joints can take a beating whether it be from lack of lubrication, dirt getting in, or just being worn out. This can put trucks like the Ford F350 Super Duty through a ton of stress when tackling off-road drives and the most challenging jobs to just day-to-day traveling. The track bar ball joint is no exception, and the ball joint becoming loose can cause the infamous "death wobble". Luckily, the Moog Problem Solver K500262 track bar ball joint is built to replace the worn out original ball joint on Ford Super Dutys with a more durable part.
The "Death Wobble"
Since the Ford 250s, 350s, 450s, and 550s are work trucks that are known to be used for off-roading and hauling heavy loads they can be exposed to not only general use but be pushed to their limit. If the ball joint becomes worn out then the track bar can allow the vehicle's body to float from left to right over the axle. This can cause a shimmy in your Super Duty that can become progressively worse, even making the truck feel like it's going to fall apart (death wobble). With the interior of the ball joint being metal on metal, without proper lubrication, the ball joint would start to grind and seize up. If you have a track bar ball joint that is damaged, the best thing to do would be to replace it.
What Can This Ball Joint Do For Me?
The MOOG-K500262 "Problem Solver" ball joint separates itself from a normal OE Standard Ball Joint through its gusher bearing. The gusher bearing absorbs the oil in the ball joint like a sponge and continues to redistribute it throughout the part reducing wear plus a grease fitting to properly grease the track bar ball joint to prolong the life of the part. It also holds a heat-treated stud within the part that offers extra strength and a pressed-in cover plate that is very resilient against rogue debris that could possibly damage the part.

- The moog-k500262 is an OE stock replacement Track bar ball joint. It should not be lose once installed. If it is it could be the housing that it is pressed into has been wallowed out.

- I had a moog-k500262 installed into my truck and it failed. I tried to replace it with a Ford Part and an AC Delco part but they are to small. Why is this?

- Moog ball joints are made slightly larger than the Ford stock part. This is because pressing ball joints in and out often can wallow out the eyelet the joint is pressed into.
