Moog fulfills their warranty through their individual dealers. That means that in order to receive warranty support, you will have to refer back to the original dealer you purchased the part from. Be sure to check the dealer's warranty support before you buy the part to make sure that they will properly support the warranty. If a dealer will only refer you back to the manufacturer in order to receive warranty support, then you may not actually have any warranty at all.
Moog Premium Steering Components carry a Limited Lifetime Warranty. Moog R-Series Control Arms, Hub Assemblies, and Strut Assemblies carry a 3 Year Warranty.
Moog warranties their parts to be free of defects in materials and/or workmanship during these timeframes as measured from the date of purchase.
If a Moog part should fail due to materials or manufacturing defect while under warranty, we will provide a replacement of the part upon return of the defective part.
moog-k201620 | 22mm Front Sway Bar Bushings | 01-17 MDX | 03-15 Pilot
These 22mm (0.87in) Front Sway Bar Bushings fit the 01-17 Acura MDX and 10-13 ZDX and the 05-13 Honda Odyssey, 03-15 Pilot, and 06-14 Ridgeline. The synthetic fabric lined inner diameter of these front sway bar bushings will last longer than the original equipment (OE) sway bar bushings and eliminate the squeaking that comes with age and wear. These durable bushings will continue to provide a stable grip on your sway bar long after OE bushings would have worn down, meaning better handling in a turn that lasts longer.
Worn Sway Bar Bushings
The front sway bar connects the driver and passenger sides of your Honda or Acura and keeps the wheels well connected to the pavement during a quick turn. When the OE bushings wear down the sway bar isn't held securely and your inside wheel can lose some contact, and traction while turning. If you routinely carry a lot of passengers or cargo then your OE bushings will have a short lifespan compared to the rest of your vehicle.
In north central Texas even a Honda Odyssey won't always be driving on nice flat roads. The bumps and jolts of driving on rougher roads can cut into the lifespan of your OE rubber sway bar bushings, wearing them down and increasing body roll.
PTFE Lined Protection
When the front sway bar bushings wear down, your sway bar can move around in the excess space of the hollowed out bushings. This will increase body roll and could cost you traction during a sharp, quick turn since the sway bar will mash the worn bushings or allow the bar to move laterally. A worn sway bar bushing can also produce an annoying squeaking any time you hit a little bump in the road. If you're already experiencing some noise or traction loss in a turn then Moog has a great solution with their 26.92mm front sway bar bushings with PTFE synthetic fabric lining.
3X The Distance
The new synthetic fabric lining creates a tough barrier of PTFE between the sway bar and the rubber of the sway bar bushings, reducing the wear that the metal bar has on soft rubber. Because of this these front sway bar bushings can last 3 times longer than the OE bushings, meaning this might be the last replacement you'll ever have to buy. More durability means these bushings hold the sway bar in place longer, giving you better-turning performance and less body roll. The lining also eliminates the annoying squeaking that can develop as OE bushings age.
Moog's Problem Solver sway bar bushings are split along the side for an easy install that can be completed in your own garage or driveway with a simple socket set. Merely remove the bracket and OE bushing, slip the new sway bar bushing over the bar, and bolt the bracket back down. If you do happen to have any issues with these bushings Suspension.com will handle the warranty for you in-house to save you any hassle.
