starstarstarstarstar “Outstanding quality and service.”

Very satisfied. This outer tie rod end came with everything you need, it was a reasonable price, and fit perfectly. \nIt also got here very quickly, I was hesitant ordering on-line, because I couldnt afford to have the car tied up for a week, waiting for parts to come in. The folks over at Suspension Parts really understand that. The parts arrived early the second day after ordering, and that was with standard shipping, nothing special like over-night or anything. The car was back on the road that evening. That kind of service is important to me, and I have already recommended them to others.\nI recommend them to you too!

These Moog parts are THE ONLY ones I put on my 2002 FHP B4C. With the Z06 LS6 engine I need great handling and these parts provide that. So you better buy Moog or you could lose control.

Peter B Gray - . - 5 out of 5

Outer Tie Rod End - Passenger Side

starstar_borderstar_borderstar_borderstar_border “Poor- incorrectly listed as passenger side but no different than drivers side”

I bought this part from and paid a premium compared to other suppliers selling tie rod ends. However, when I got the part it has the same part MOOG part number as the drivers side and not the passenger side. Now they wont give me a refund unless I pay to ship it back and they want to charge a 15% restocking fee- incorrectly marketed part and no responsibility from the seller to correct their error. Editor Note: The es140r is used on many vehicles. For a 83 Cj5 the es140r is used on the left outer tie rod and the drag link at the pitman arm. It could be used on the left or right side outer tie rod on certain vehicles.

I do a lot of driving and Im sure its been about 100k since I put my Moog parts on and I will tell you its worth the money! Ive had to die to being in a bind, unfortunately purchase other parts however they have already failed and my Moog parts are holding up nicely. I will order from you again. The only thing Ive had to replace around the parts would be bushings and that is normal. starstarstarstar_borderstar_border “Good parts but they need to ship with instructions.”

The Moog tie rod end has a pressure relief hole that lets grease out if its over-filled. My mechanic didnt know that the part had this feature and I had to buy a 2nd part and spend half a day sitting at the shop waiting for a replacement. If the part was packaged with instructions or better yet tagged with a note to let the installed know that it was OK for the grease to escape it would have saved me $100 and half a wasted day. A little information would have saved a lot of problems. The vendor who sold me the part sent me a Moog bulletin that describes the relief port. It doesnt make sense for the tech to have to do a web search for every part they install so the part maker should provide instructions or warnings. Again, its a good part like all of the other Moog parts Ive used over the years, you just need to add some info for the installer. Editors Note: When greasing any Moog part you start pumping the grease in you and watch the grease boot. Once you start to see it expand STOP. The grease relief is there to keep it from over filling and burst the grease boot.

I love Moog parts and they hold up great yet I believe there is an issue with the boot. Ive had to replace the tie rod ends twice already due to the boot tearing causing all the grease to leak out. Not Moogs fault just a fault in the integrity of the boot. Editors Note: Most Moog grease dust boots fail because of over filling with grease or using a pneumatic grease gun. On most Moog dust boots they have a grease relief made into them. Even with the grease relief they will split if it is not clear. Another problem is debris or off road driving.

Hello,\nI have been told by two shops that all of my tie rod ends and ball joints are shot. I dont know if its a product defect or a maintenance issue or what but I am not in any way dissatisfied with your product or service. I will actually be ordering a new set soon. If you have any insight I would certainly welcome it. Editors Note: Contacted the customer about his concerns. He did not want to pursue the warranty at this time. Diverse Suspension Technologies stands behind the Moog limited lifetime warranty. Our company does not put a 30-90 day limit and we handle the warranty in house. We will not have the customer contact Moog to get the warranty honored. Other companies handle the warranty in this manner.

The dust cover bushing protecting the tie rod end disintegrated less than thirty days after installing this new part. The dust cover design was supposed to be part of Moogs "problem solver" design but may need to be redesigned.I think the Moog parts I purchased are good quality other than this issue but I do fear this tie rod end is wearing out prematurely without the protection of the dust cover bushing. Editors Note: Customer was sent out the dust cover.

These were replaced by my oem tie rods and looks almost EXACTLY the same minus the color, another thing that i need to add is that there needs to be some sort of spacer or something otherwise the cotter pin doesnt sit inside of the castle nut, it sits about 1/8th of an inch above it though i dont know if that will cause a problem or not in the future i assume that isnt "safe" as the cotter pin wont do its job

Dear Sirs, I like that idea, but have not received my spare here in Venezuela, people call TEALCA transport is useless, you notice when you install it, but I have placed advance terminals and MOOG on my Dodge Ram 2500 years 2008 and have worked perfectly, you should extend a little more life to these spare parts. Should also be sent to Venezuela sufficient quantities, because here are not achieved, further damaged prematurely because the roads do not work, and why we have oil to give pa. attentively Engineer Hugo Riera <br />

If anyone knows anything about stock Lx suspensions they would know that our cars each control arms and tie rods. Compared to the stock outer tie rod, moogs outer tie rod has a grease fitting which allows you to lubricate the joint that moves the wheel. Installed with new tension struts, control arms, and struts, my car feels like a totally different monster. Handling is much more active. I can see why moogs reputation is great. Excellent product. Makes the stock outer rod look as if it was from a 1000lb kia

starstarstarstarstar “Solid design, and greasable, to boot.”

While this part is meant for a 3500 Ram, I used it to replace the worn out drag link end on my 2008 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon. Installation was a breeze - the toughest part was removing the drag link from the pitman arm. Made a few measurements, re-installed, and tweaked to center my steering wheel. This is a solid drag link end, and I hope to avoid replacing in the near future given its zerk fitting (non sealed design, unlike the stock unit). Smooth steering, no more knock!

starstarstarstarstar “Parts worked fine”

The outer tie rod ends worked fine. They were for my 2003 Yukon 2500 Quadrasteer rear steering. The only concern is that they are the same for left and right, and on the right side there is no clearance for the grease zert. So I had to put in the grease and then a plug. To grease again at some point it has to be dropped and a zert put in and grease, then plugged and put back up with nut and cotter key. Also, the OEM tie rod ends had self locking nuts with a hex stem so you could hold the stem with a small wrench while you tighten the self locking nut. The OEM ends had no grease zerts.

Fit up just fine, just like stock. However could not figure out the grease zerk. My old 90 degree one would not fit. Maybe the MOOG is metric? Don't know because no instructions were included. Although more expensive than standard OEM tie rod ends, these parts have made a huge difference with the handling of my 2004 PT Cruiser. Cornering response is increased without causing "touchy" steering, and there is an increased "feel" of the road. In combination with the MOOG ball joints, this heavy little car now handles much better. These tie rod ends replaced a set of third party tie rod ends damaged by a nasty pothole, and has never handled this well until I installed these MOOG parts.

Moog chassis parts are by far the best OEM replacements you can get. They installed like a dream, included new castle nuts, retaining nuts and cotter pins. Unlike inferior products, these include a zerk fitting to grease the units when they need it, but are also pre-greased and ready to install. I expect these to last for much longer then the original obliterated units I removed from the vehicle.
