DST carries a 5-Year Warranty.
DST warrants their parts to be free of defects in materials and/or workmanship during this timeframe as measured from the date of purchase.
If a DST part should fail due to materials or manufacturing defects while under warranty, we will provide a replacement of the part upon return of the defective part.
Wearable RUBBER parts are not covered under warranty (Dust boots, bushings, bump stops, etc.)
Body Mount Bushings Kit | 2001-2003 Ford Explorer Sport (2 door model)
This Body Mount Bushing Kit for the 01-03 Ford Explorer Sport 2wd/4wd from DST provides a replacement for the notoriously delicate original foam body mount bushings, restoring body height and alignment with durable polyurethane bushings. The 01-03 Explorer Sport 2 door models can be hard to find body mount bushing replacements for so we did some research, took measurements, and now have a polyurethane body mount kit that will correctly replace the doomed (or already destroyed) original mounts.
Out with the Old
For more than a decade we have spoken to a lot of folks looking for suspension parts so when we kept hearing people say that they could not find body mount bushings for a certain year range of Ford Explorer models, we listened. We bought an old junker 2002 Explorer Sport and did some meticulous measuring then came up with a body mount bushing kit that would replace the originals which are made of foam and often fail. Smashed or disintegrated body mounts leave the body sagging and besides the asthetic issues can make the doors or hood stick as well as cause banging or clunking noises and a general reduction in ride quality.
Custom Made Body Mounts for Explorer Sport
These Polyurethane Body Mount Bushings are far and away more durable than the original explorer sport bushings and restore and maintain body height around the vehicle. A more secure body to frame connection will also eliminate noise and correct door and hood misalignment caused by loose body mounts and can provide a more stable feeling ride.
Aftermarket replacement body mount options for these year models of the 2 door Sport Explorer seem to have fallen through the cracks and replacing the fragile originals with the same OE mounts that are destined to fail is both expensive and arguably futile.
