Moog Problem Solver: SSD131
The Problem: Your F250 Super Duty shimmies/vibrates the front end when driving on the highway
The OE steering stabilizers on the 05-06 Ford F250 Super Duty have been known to fail causing vibration and/or shimmy in the front end. The OE steering stabilizer failure can cause excessive tire wear, loss of control of the vehicle, or severe front end shimmy. Safety should not be an option in your suspension; luckily DST has solution: Moog Problem Solver SSD131.
The Solution: Moog's Problem Solver: SSD131
Moog's line of problem solver parts target factory defects or poor original design, replacing them with a better more durable part. Moog designed a steering stabilizer that offers a larger bore diameter and tighter valving to eliminate steering oscillation and provide the greater control: SSD131
Moog engineered a chrome hardened 9/16 inch piston rod with 1 3/8 inch bore into this steering stabilizer. Stiffer valving was added to provide better dampening. Moog designed larger bushing for longer service life and a white powder coat finish. The enhanced design improves tire and ball joint wear-it also improves control and handling for oversize tires.
