lock Warranty Information keyboard_arrow_down
Moog fulfills their warranty through their individual dealers. That means that in order to receive warranty support, you will have to refer back to the original dealer you purchased the part from. Be sure to check the dealer's warranty support before you buy the part to make sure that they will properly support the warranty. If a dealer will only refer you back to the manufacturer in order to receive warranty support, then you may not actually have any warranty at all.

Moog Problem Solver: Tie Rod End
Superior design and strength
Moog's problem solver parts target factory defects or poor original design, replacing them with a more durable and easy to install part. And for this style GM chassis, it is a good thing. Moog's Problem Solver tie rod end, part number ES3675, greatly improves upon the OE design increasing the life of the part as well as the ease of installation.
Original design and other supplier's flaws
The OE tie rod design has many, many issues. Those issues include:
- Use of a plastic bearing that is prone to early failure
- Lack of provision to maintain socket torque
- Not serviceable, allowing debris to be trapped in bearing
Unfortunately the OE design is not the only version of this part that is flawed. Several suppliers offer a replacement tie rod end for this part that make the same mistakes the OE design does. In addition to those mistakes, other supplier's parts also have issues such as:
- Weaker material for ball stud and housing
- Use of lock nut making removal and installation difficult, requiring the use of a second hand
Moog problem solving features
Moog's problem-solving ES3675 has been engineered to make installation much simpler. The castle nut allows for one-handed installation and this wrench flat aid in alignment of the vehicle. In addition to simplifying installation, the ES3675 also makes many improvements on the OE design. The problem solver tie rod features:
- Exclusive gusher bearing technology for durability and long life
- Grease-able design to flush out contaminants and keep in grease
- Moog patented dome cover plate combined with Belleville washer to ensure proper pre-load and consistent socket torque
